Avalon is a chaise lounge designed as a space for relaxed focus – somewhere to think, recharge, or work comfortably. Named after a beach town known for its tranquility, Avalon balances visual simplicity with carefully considered ergonomic support.
The simple sculpted form positions the body in a fully reclined posture while gently supporting the head, allowing for both rest and active engagement. It’s ideal for lounge areas where users shift between downtime and light work. Paired with a pull-up table like Alden, it creates a compact, multifunctional setting for laptops, reading, or quiet ideation. Add-on accessories, including a 3D knit privacy screen with coat hook and side table, define a semi-private micro-environment within open spaces. A swivel table option offers a convenient spot for phones, tablets, or drinks.
Avalon’s soft upholstered planes are contrasted by a minimal steel frame that gives the piece a sense of visual lightness. The seat and back are split into two floating forms, an intentional design decision that allows for flat-pack shipping and streamlined assembly. This separation enhances the aesthetic while supporting efficient manufacturing and logistics.
To further emphasize the form, Avalon is upholstered in 3D knit fabric, a seamless textile with a specifically designed sweater-like texture. The uninterrupted surface highlights the chaise’s contours while offering durability and comfort. The color palette is curated to suit a wide range of contract and hospitality settings.
