Avalon is a chaise lounge designed as a space for relaxed focus, somewhere to think, recharge, or work comfortably. Named after a beach town known for its tranquility, Avalon balances visual simplicity with thoughtful ergonomic detail.

The chaise’s sculpted form positions the body in a fully reclined posture while gently supporting the head in an upright orientation, encouraging both rest and alert engagement. It’s ideal for lounge environments where users might toggle between downtime and light tasks. When paired with a pull-up table like Alden, it creates a compact, versatile setting for laptop work or ideation. Add-ons such as a 3D knit privacy screen (with integrated coat hook and side table) help define a semi-private zone within open spaces. An optional swivel table provides a convenient surface for devices or drinks.

Avalon’s soft, upholstered planes are set against a minimal steel frame, creating a visual lightness. The seat and back are split into two distinct forms, an intentional design decision to enable compact shipping and simplified assembly. This floating geometry not only enhances its aesthetic but also speaks to efficient production and logistics.

Its modernist inspiration is updated with practical concerns in mind: flat-pack construction reduces shipping volume and cost, and helps lessen environmental impact during transit.

To emphasize its form, Avalon features 3D knit upholstery, a seamless textile with a sweater-like feel, ideally suited for the chaise’s large, uninterrupted surfaces. The color palette is curated to offer versatile options for contract or hospitality settings.
