Conversa Modular Lounge

Designed for KFI Studios

Conversa is a modular lounge collection designed around a simple idea: maximum planning flexibility through a rational system. Built on a consistent three-foot grid, Conversa enables endless combinations of seats, backs, arms, and tables, whether the goal is a sprawling collaborative zone or a compact seating cluster.

Each component in the system is shaped as a softened square – inviting in form, but with enough definition to maintain the integrity of the overall layout. This subtle shaping helps Conversa read as both a collection of distinct elements and a unified whole.

To support reconfiguration and maintenance, a system of hidden lift-off brackets was designed to allow each unit to be repositioned without tools. Whether replacing components, adjusting a layout, or cleaning under the system, the brackets make it easy. For installations requiring more permanence, discreet bolt-together ganging plates offer a secure, fixed option.

Conversa’s coffee table units are built to the same grid and ganging specifications, allowing them to integrate cleanly into seating runs. Their broad metal planes echo the same monolithic look of the upholstered components, while the mixing of materials and finishes offer added visual interest.

To extend the functionality of the system, the Calm privacy screen collection is designed to work seamlessly with Conversa. Calm uses the same three-foot grid, ensuring alignment with seating units. The screens can easily slide beneath the seating units, or be tucked between cushions, providing a clean, consistent aesthetic with practical acoustic and visual privacy.

Conversa is a platform for flexible environments, designed with the planner and the end-user in mind. It’s a system that supports customization without complexity, grounded in clear logic and refined detailing.
